The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is offered to all benefits-eligible employees and their dependents.  The company-paid benefit provides professional counseling, consultative and educational services as a way to help our employees resolve issues that may impact their personal lives and their job performance.

Biometric Screenings

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!  HBI holds annual screening clinics for cholesterol, blood pressure, BMI, blood glucose and other health issues.  This can help you catch many problems before they become life threatening.

Sick Leave Bank

Catastrophic illnesses and injuries may result in the need for additional time off in excess of employees' available sick leave.  To address this need, eligible employees are allowed to donate sick leave from their unused balance to co-workers in need.

Health Competitions

Recognizing the importance of a healthy workforce to the fulfillment of the organization's mission, HBI offers frequent physical  and nutritional competitions for employees to encourage physical activity throughout the workday and at home.  Employees can join fellow co-workers in tracking their physical activity and earning prizes.  The competitions are easy, convenient, and promote a sense of camaraderie.
